Annual Goal
October 8, 2012 First quarter is in the books and we are proud to share with you that we surpassed our first quarter fundraising goal by $7,000! We are on track thus far with our goal to achieve a 10% growth over last year. It is because of your generosity and support that we will help more FFA members do more great things! It is overwhelming to know how many people and companies support the efforts of Wisconsin FFA! We just finished the September Awareness Visit Tour with the state officers and connected with 20 businesses, all of which support FFA and our efforts to prepare students for college and careers in the agriculture, food and natural resource industry. As schools were back in session last month, we know that many FFA members had several opportunities to develop their leadership skills because of the generosity of our Foundation donors – Sectional Leadership Workshops, F.I.R.E Conference and Chapter Visits. That’s what the Wisconsin FFA Foundation is all about – bringing opportunities to local FFA members at little or no cost to remove any participation barriers. Soon, National FFA Convention will be upon us. Once again, Wisconsin FFA will shine with their large delegation of members in attendance, their poise and courtesy during their time at the convention and, of course, in having numerous national award winners! We will also be proud to see our own Alicia Hodnik (2010-11 Wisconsin FFA President) finish her final days as National FFA Central Region Vice President and retire her position. Will you consider a gift of $20, $75, or $150 to help today's Wisconsin FFA members? With your help, we will continue to grow the quantity and quality of experiences that develop premier leadership, personal growth and career success for our future agricultural leaders. In advance, thank you for your support. Julie Larson | |||||
